I realized last week that I had never *actually* been in Shinjuku in the 1.5 months here, despite riding through the station daily. So, I took a diversion and took a look around! Shinjuku is probably the largest train station in all of Tokyo with dozens of platforms-- we joke about playing "Find the Gaijin" because it is just so huge!
LEFT: on the skywalk outside Odakyu shopping mall, right outside Shinjuku Station. Nice weather!!
This is a bit of the "skyscraper district" in Shinjuku. Actually reminds me a bit of Portland, as there are lots of trees/green, and a lot of energy!
