Great Buddha at Kamakura

Me and my host-mother at the huge Buddha sculpture in Kamakura.

















For 20 yen, you can go inside the Buddha sculpture. It is dark, narrow and crowded, but very neat!



Below: Inside the Buddha. You can see the weld lines where they attached the different poured bronze pieces.















Any hollow Buddha's got to have air-holes! Here you see the windows on his back.
